About me

I am a Baltimore-born organizer, strategist, leadership coach and fundraiser with more than two decades of experience developing leaders who drive meaningful change in their communities. My work is rooted in equity, relational organizing, and a deep belief in the power of local leadership—especially leaders of color, women, and caregivers whose voices are essential to shaping our civic future.

Across my career, I’ve coached candidates, strengthened nonprofit capacity,  raised millions of dollars for nonprofits, led statewide initiatives, and built pipelines of emerging public leaders. I bring a blend of grassroots organizing, campaign strategy, and social work practice to every engagement, grounding my work in values, relationships, and practical results.

I am a Baltimore native, social worker, and community advocate dedicated to advancing equity and empowering leaders across Maryland. Born at Johns Hopkins Hospital, raised in Baltimore and  a proud graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools, my personal and professional journey is deeply rooted in the city that shaped me.

My early career as a labor organizer with SEIU and as a case manager to older adults in West Baltimore brought me face-to-face with inequity and sparked a lifelong commitment to social justice. Those experiences, paired with grassroots political organizing and campaign management, laid the groundwork for education equity work later in my career.

In 2019,  I served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Teach For America–Baltimore, where I raised more than $1.5 million  in just one year to support teacher recruitment, development and service.  That work strengthened my belief that philanthropy, storytelling, and community leadership must work hand-in-hand to create lasting change.

Over the last 5 years, I acted as the Director of Regional Impact for Maryland for LEE  where I focused on building community capacity and supporting leaders of color and women to drive positive change. I built a strong fellowship program and recruited more than 20 LEE members run for elected office—expanding and diversifying the landscape of leadership across the state.

My work, in all its forms, is grounded in a deep belief in community-driven leadership and the transformative power of people working together to change the places they love.
